Road safety good practice manuals - have your say!
12.01.2009
The UN Road Safety Collaboration (UNRSC) is seeking input on the three good practice manuals published to date by leading members WHO, GRSP, the World Bank and the FIA Foundation.
The manuals aim to provide guidance to policy makers around the world in implementing effective, evidence-based road safety strategies. Feedback on the value of the manuals to users is especially important to the members of the UNRSC in judging whether to produce supplementary materials on the manuals, such as training materials, and/or to develop further manuals on other topics.

Following publication of the World report, four members of the UNRSC (GRSP, WHO, the World Bank and the FIA Foundation) agreed to work together to produce a series of manuals that would help local officials implement best road safety practices. The manuals address the key risk factors identified in the World report on road traffic injury prevention by the World Health Organization and the World Bank(2004). Up to now, three manuals (helmets, drinking and driving, speed management) have been published. Seat-belts is soon to be launched and a manual on Data Systems will be available in 2009.
By taking a few minutes of your time, you will be part of decisions on the next set of tools and manuals to be developed.
