New York City Wins Sustainable Transport Award

New York is the first U.S. city to win the 5th annual International Award for Sustainable Transport. The award is for visionary achievements in sustainable transportation and urban livability. This year's award was presented to Janette Sadik-Khan, Transport Commissioner for NYC, by Ex-Mayor Enrique Penalosa on behalf of ITDP at the TRB Annual Meetings.
The other award finalists, Beijing, Istanbul, Mexico City and Milan, received honorable mentions. For more information on this story go to:
