MICHELIN is the global partner for road safety
November, 17, 2009
MICHELIN will take part in the First Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety. MICHELIN is the partner of this event. Mr. Michel Rollier, General Managing Partner of MICHELIN Group, will visit Russia for participation in this Conference. On the 20th of November during the first round table devoted to the “Partnership for Road Safety” he will make a speech “Private sector, a vital Road Safety contributor in partnership with Governments and Civil Society”. He will also give a press-conference “MICHELIN – is the global partner for Road Safety” on the 20th of November at 11.30.
MICHELIN presents its booth on the “Road Safety Forum – 2009” (pavilion 8, hall2, booth 82C50). The centre of MICHELIN exposition will be a car-simulator. The aim of this simulator is to create real driving conditions for the drivers and to demonstrate the risks caused by the usage of tyres with wrong pressure on the roads with different level of grip. The visitors, having driving licenses, will be suggested to drive this simulator, which is identical to the ordinary car. First, the driver must try to avoid obstacles on tyres with normal pressure and then on under inflated tyres. This simulator will demonstrate the importance of correct tyre pressure for car handling.
